Operational base of Wizz Air in Timisoara

Enlargement. The third operational base of Wizz Air in Romania, after Bucharest and Cluj, and the tenth in the world will be opened in Timisoara, according to the marketing director of the low cost airline.

Since December 2008, Wizz Air will operate flights from Timisoara to London, Rome and Dortmund, with a frequency of three times a week. In March 2009,  five other races will be launched: to Milan, Barcelona, Paris, Venice and Valencia. In the coming three years, the company will allocate three Airbus A320 aircraft for the base in Timisoara and will recruit over 100 employees, the investment exceeding 100 million.
